Artwork Guidelines | DTF Print Pros

To ensure the best possible results for your DTF transfers, it’s important that your artwork is prepared correctly before uploading. Below are our recommended guidelines for file types, resolution, colors, and layout.

✅ Accepted File Types

  • Preferred: PNG (with transparent background), PDF, SVG, AI

  • Also Accepted: JPG, PSD, EPS

  • Tip: Always flatten your artwork or convert text to outlines before uploading.

✅ Resolution

  • Minimum: 300 DPI (dots per inch)

  • Lower resolutions may print blurry or pixelated.

  • For vector files (AI, SVG, PDF), resolution is not an issue, but make sure fonts are outlined.

✅ Color Setup

  • Use RGB color mode for the most accurate printing.

  • Avoid using low-opacity or semi-transparent elements — they may not transfer well.

  • Neon/fluorescent shades are not achievable with DTF printing.

✅ Backgrounds

  • Transparent backgrounds are strongly recommended.

  • Remove any unwanted white or black boxes behind your design.

✅ Sizing & Placement

  • Choose your sheet size before designing.

  • Keep at least 0.25″ spacing between designs on a gang sheet.

  • Do not place designs too close to the edge of the sheet.

✅ Text & Details

  • Convert all text to outlines (curves) so fonts don’t get lost.

  • Avoid extremely thin lines (less than 2pt) — they may not press cleanly.

  • Use bold, clear designs for the best results.

✅ File Preparation Checklist

Before uploading your artwork, make sure:
✔ Background removed or transparent
✔ Correct size and resolution (300 DPI)
✔ Fonts converted to outlines
✔ Colors set to RGB
✔ No low-opacity elements
