✅ What You’ll Need
Before you begin pressing, make sure you have:
-
A heat press (not a Cricut EasyPress or household iron)
-
Your DTF transfer (from DTF Print Pros)
-
A lint roller (to prep the garment)
-
Heat-resistant tape (optional)
-
Teflon sheet or parchment paper (for second press)
-
The blank garment (T-shirt, hoodie, tote bag, etc.)

🧾 How to Press DTF Transfers – Step-by-Step
Step 1: Set Your Heat Press
-
Temperature: 300–315°F (150–160°C)
-
Time: 12–15 seconds
-
Pressure: Medium to Firm
-
Peel: Hot or Cold depending on your film type (we recommend cold peel for most)
Step 2: Prep the Garment
Use a lint roller to remove any dust or fibers. Pre-press the garment for 5 seconds to eliminate moisture and flatten the surface.
Step 3: Place the DTF Transfer
Position your design face up on the garment with the clear film on top. Use heat-resistant tape to secure if needed.
Step 4: Press the Transfer
Close the heat press and press for 12–15 seconds using firm, even pressure.
Step 5: Peel the Film
Let the transfer cool (cold peel) or peel immediately (hot peel) depending on your film. At DTF Print Pros, we primarily use cold peel film unless otherwise specified.
Step 6: Optional Second Press
Place parchment or a Teflon sheet over the design and press again for 5–10 seconds. This gives a softer feel and locks in the print for added durability.
